How an assessment before surgery usually goes

The assessment starts with your story: when the problem began, what treatment you have had, what medicines you take and whether you have other conditions. Then an examination of the mouth and jaws.

An image alone is not a diagnosis. An OPG or CBCT is read together with your symptoms and the examination, and the treatment plan is built on that, not on guesswork.

Surgery is not the end of the path. Care after the operation and follow-up until you have healed are part of treatment too.
